An orthomosaic view of Rock Hawk Effigy mound in Putnam County, Georgia.

Rock Hawk is the smaller of two effigy mounds found in Putnam County, Georgia. Unlike the larger Rock Eagle, it has not been restored. There is a large tower to allow aerial views of the mound. Rock Hawk is constructed of quartzite boulders. It is thought to date from the Woodland Period of Southeastern precontact archaeology.

Rock Hawk is owned by the University of Georgia and managed for public visitation.
